Huawei's self-designed HiSilicon K3V2 quad-core processor, clocked at up to 1.2GHz/1.5GHz. The K3V2 quad-core processor is 12*12mm and is the industry's smallest quad-core processor. At the same time, the K3V2 quad-core processor has built-in the industry's strongest embedded GPU, and uses the highest-end 64-bit bandwidth DDR memory design in the mobile phone chip to fully release the performance of the quad-core.

It is reported that this high-performance CPU is independently designed by Haisi (Huawei subsidiary) and adopts 35nm ARM architecture. The Haisi K3V2 is the result of two years of work by Huawei's chip division. The main frequency of this processor is 1.2GHz and 1.5GHz. The official claims that the chip can surpass Tegra 3 performance by 30% to 50% in a series of benchmark tests.

According to the chief architect of Huawei's chip division, the Haisi K3V2 chip uses a 64-bit memory bus, which is twice the Tegra 3 memory bus. This is one of the main reasons for the performance improvement of the K3V2 chip. The chip is produced by TSMC in a 40-nanometer process with a chip area of 12x12mm. Huawei also said that the company will sell the processor chip to other companies.

The HiSilicon K3V2 uses a quad-core ARM Cortex A9 and a built-in 16-core graphics chip. The graphics card was jointly developed by Huawei and the unnamed US chip design company. The two companies have jointly developed a graphics card architecture, and US partners are responsible for specific applications.

The graphics chip can handle 2-D and 3-D with 35f/s video processing capability. According to Huawei's tests, Tegra 3's video processing capacity is 13fps, and dual-core Qualcomm processor is 8.4fps.
